Acceptable use policy

Scope

This policy applies to this website and to every software product and online service published or operated by NEOMANERA LTD. It sits alongside our terms of use and any product-specific licence. Where a product-specific term is stricter, that term applies.

Prohibited use

You must not use our website, products or services:

• in breach of any applicable law, regulation or sanctions regime;
• to harm, harass, threaten, defraud, stalk or impersonate any person, or to facilitate anyone else doing so;
• to distribute malicious software, to operate a botnet or command-and-control infrastructure, or to conduct phishing or other credential-theft campaigns;
• to conduct a denial-of-service attack, port scan, intrusion attempt or unauthorised vulnerability test against any system you do not own or have written permission to test;
• to send unsolicited bulk communications, or to harvest contact details for that purpose;
• to transmit, store or distribute material that is unlawful — including child sexual abuse material, material that incites violence or terrorism, or material that infringes someone else’s intellectual property;
• to circumvent a technical restriction, access control, rate limit or licensing mechanism in our software;
• to resell, sublicense or provide our software as a service to a third party except where the applicable licence expressly permits it.

Content standards

Where a product allows you to create, store or transmit content, that content must be accurate where it states facts, must be genuinely held where it states opinions, and must comply with the law of the United Kingdom and of any country from which it is accessed.

You are responsible for content you create or transmit. You must hold the rights to it, or have permission from the person who does.

Security and integrity

You must not:

• attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, to another user’s account, or to any data you are not entitled to;
• interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of our services;
• reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble our software except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction;
• remove, obscure or alter a proprietary notice in our software or documentation.

Good-faith security research conducted in line with our responsible disclosure policy is welcome, and we will not treat it as a breach of this policy.

Enforcement

We decide whether this policy has been breached. Where it has, we may take any action we consider appropriate and proportionate, including issuing a warning, suspending or terminating access, removing content, disclosing information to law enforcement where the law requires it, and taking legal proceedings to recover costs.

We will not suspend an account without notice unless the breach is serious, ongoing, or creates a risk to other people or to our systems.

Reporting a breach

If you believe someone is using a NEOMANERA product or service in breach of this policy, tell us at developer@neomanera.co.uk. Please include enough detail for us to identify what is happening — what you observed, where, and when.

Report suspected security vulnerabilities through our responsible disclosure policy instead, so that they are handled confidentially.

Changes

We may revise this policy. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect.
